Dropout rate in Indian
primary, middle and high schools, especially in
rural areas, continues to be shamefully high
even after 57 years after independence and in
spite of innumerable programs taken up by the
Government. The reasons for such high dropout
rates among village kids include poverty, lack
of awareness about the importance of education,
and lack of conducive environment.
The
magnitude of the problem calls for our concerted
efforts, not just by government, but also by all
those concerned with the quality of life of the
people. That is why SPREAD INTERNATIONAL has been focusing on
education with the help of generous people like
you.
After discussing with the school teachers and village elders,
we believe that we have to extend financial help to kids.
Through our help the school kid can acquire the most basic things
like books, clothes, food and a conducive environment where the kid can study without much distraction.
You can bring the light and hope with education into a Underprivileged child's life with a small contribution of $ 20 per month ($ 240 Per year).
